MC Payment is a regional leader in the omni-channel digital payments arena, supporting the end-to-end value-chain of commerce transactions, ranging from suppliers and merchants to consumer payments.

The Problem

The company was looking to expand into other south-east Asian markets and grow their brand awareness ahead to enable them to attract future investment.

The Solution

Strategic Communications Plan

GEC developed a communications plan that included public relations efforts both in Singapore and the key target markets. We sold a re-imagining of MC Payment as a Fintech company, using a mix of personality profiling, new product/partnership announcements, new market entry stories and M&A activities to tell a story of consistent growth.

Digital Marketing Strategy

Our social media strategy dovetailed the public relations campaign, aimed at expanding the CEO’s LinkedIn reach and MC Payments’ Facebook profile.

As part of an SEO audit, we also introduced a newsroom section on the company website to document their press releases and coverage.

Defining the Brand

As part of an overall brand refresh, we created a logo and new collateral for the business, as well as their first brand manual, a social media and communications guideline and investor deck.

The Outcome

MC Payment has appeared regularly in high profile industry media, TechInAsia, PYments.com and the Singapore Business Review, further cementing its position as a leading Fintech company. After our communications strategy, they have received strategic investment from a major regional investor and have expanded their presence into three new markets.
